Wilton Police Department Swears In Two New Officers WILTON, Conn. -- Two new officers officially joined the ranks of the Wilton Police Department with a swearing-in ceremony on Dec. 29. The new officers are Malcom Hayes and Jeton Ejupi.  Hayes will be attending the Connecticut Police Academy until June.  He will begin his training at the Police Officer Standard and Training Academy in Meriden this week.  Ejupi is a former Kosovo police officer and city of New Haven police officer. He will be required to complete an abbreviated field training session.

John Townsend Oliver, 85, Of Poughkeepsie POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- John Townsend Oliver died Dec. 31 at his home in Poughkeepsie. He was 85.He was born July 13, 1930, in Somers Point, N.J., the son of the late John and Ann Oliver.  He was a former member of the Wappingers Falls United Methodist Church and the Poughkeepsie United Methodist Church.  He served his country in the U.S. Army.
