Westchester Table Tennis Club Attracts Top Talent In Monthly Tournament PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. -- The Westchester Table Tennis Club in Pleasantvill held a world class table tennis tournament in December. The prize money is more than $5,000, so this tournament attracts top talent. The national champion of Togo competed in the tournament. Police Charge Second Man In Murder Of Bridgeport Barbershop Owner BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- A 38-year-old man was charged with murder Monday in the death of a Bridgeport barbershop owner during a home invasion in October, according to the Connecticut Post. Mario Varela, 38, was arrested Monday in Hartford by members of the U.S. Marshal Violent Crime Fugitive Task Force and charged with felony murder, home invasion, first-degree robbery and risk of injury to a child in the stabbing death of Jayson Rosado, 28, the Post said. Thaddeus Wawrzynski, 96, Lifelong Resident Of Bridgeport BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — Thaddeus Michael Wawrzynski, a lifelong resident of Bridgeport, died Saturday, Jan. 2. He was 96.He was the son of Martin and Anna (Skupien) Wawrzynski. He was born in Bridgeport on Oct. 18, 1919. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and served during World War II.
