BERGENFIELD, N.J. – Alice K. Brown, of Bergenfield, died Dec. 21.
Brown was born to James and Beatrice Brown.
She was predeceased by her parents, and was survived by her siblings, Elizabeth, Judith, Katherine, Gerard, Mary-Jane Kassam and her husband Mohamed, James and his partner Joanne Stanley, Beatrice Simoni and her husband Steve, and Thomas and his wife Nanette.
Visiting hours are from 4-10 p.m. Wednesday at Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 S. Washington Ave., Bergenfield.
A funeral Mass will be conducted at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Therese R.C. Church, 120 Monroe Ave., Cresskill.

Walter Fila, 84, Of Garfield
GARFIELD, N.J. – Walter Fila, of Garfield, died Dec. 20. He was 85.
Fila was born Jan. 16, 1931, in Sojkowa, Poland, to Jozef and Aniela (nee Bielen) Fila.
He emigrated to the United States in 1986, settling in Garfield and working at Fantasia Sewing Company in Passaic as a machine operator before retiring.
Fila was predeceased by his parents, two sisters and two brothers.
He is survived by his wife Bronislawa, three children, Kazimierz Fila, Danuta Bekier and Joanna Wyrzykowski, eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Interment was at St. Mary's Cemetery in Saddle Brook.
Raymond E. Waszkiewicz, 85, Formerly Of Saddle Brook
SADDLE BROOK, N.J. – Raymond E. Waszkiewicz, formerly of Saddle Brook, died Monday, Dec. 21. He was 85.
He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and was a machinist for Alkon Corporation in Wayne before retiring.
Waszkiewicz was predeceased by his brother Charles and sister Adela Miller.
He is survived by his wife Helen (nee Johnson), son Raymond and his wife Donna, son Mark and his wife Patricia, and sister Lori Delrio, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Eileen A. Steffanci, 92, Of Sparkill
SPARKILL, N.Y. – Eileen A. Steffanci, a resident of Sparkill and formerly of Beacon, died Sunday, Dec. 20 at the Joe Raso Hospice Residence in New City. She was 92.
Steffanci was born Jan. 11, 1923, in Beacon to Michael A. and Alice Hanlon Usifer.
She graduated from SUNY New Paltz, working as a teacher and librarian for the Beacon City School District and as a Eucharistic minister at St. Joachim-St. John the Evangelist Church.
Steffanci was predeceased by her parents; husband Nicholas; and four siblings, Ralph, Joseph, Francis and Helen.

Robert Leonard, 51, Of Waldwick
WALDWICK, N.J. – Robert Leonard, of Waldwick, died Dec. 19. He was 51.
Leonard graduated from Waldwick High School, the College of New Jersey and MTI Technical School.
He was predeceased by his father Sylvester, and is survived by his mother Patricia, daughter Alexa, brother Michael, brother James and his wife Heather, brother Patrick, and many nieces and nephews.
Interment was at St. Luke’s Cemetery.

Ester Bernazzolli, 92, Of Waldwick
WALDWICK, N.J. – Ester Bernazzolli (nee Molinari), of Waldwick, died Saturday, Dec. 19. She was 92.
She was predeceased by her brother Guerino Molinari, and her husband Stefano Bernazzoli, as well as many nieces and nephews.
McCorry Brothers Funeral Home in Cliffside Park handled the arrangements.

Arthur Cooksey, 86, Formerly Of Norwalk
NORWALK, Conn. – Arthur Allen “Bud” Cooksey, of Las Vegas and formerly of Norwalk, died Thursday, Dec. 10. He was 86.
Cooksey was born Oct. 30, 1929, to James and Helen (nee Reuther) Cooksey in Chicago's South Side, graduating from the University of Illinois in 1951.
He worked for the audit staff of Price Waterhouse, spent 20 years with Ford Motor Co. in the United States and England, and moved to Stamford to work for Celanese Corp., spending time with the company's Canadian arm before retiring to Greenwich in 1987.
