POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – Corradina Petito, of Poughkeepsie, died on Saturday, Dec. 19, at The Pines At Poughkeepsie. She was 91.
Petito was born Feb. 14, 1924, in Sicily, to Joseph and Antoinette (nee Pomorosso) Scardaci.
She worked as a secretary for Cervone Insurance Company in Poughkeepsie and as the legal secretary for Lloyd Rosenthal and Judge Raymond Baratta.

Albert R. Popot, 72, Of Yonkers
YONKERS, N.Y. –Albert R. (Mickey) Popot, of Yonkers, died Wednesday, Dec. 16. He was 72.
He was born April 12, 1943, to James and Marie (nee Brown) Popot in Yonkers, graduating from Gorton High School and serving in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
Popot was a longtime member of the Yonkers Fire Department; retiring in 2003.
He was predeceased by his parents and five siblings, James, Marie, Alice, Joan and Jane.
Popot is survived by his wife Mary, two daughters, Janine of Mt. Kisco and Rita Ryan-Popot of Boston, two grandchildren, and sister Isabelle Engel.

Robert Vincent, 89, Of Ossining
OSSINING, N.Y. – Robert P. Vincent, a lifelong resident of Ossining, died Dec. 17. He was 89.
He was born July 30, 1926, in Ossining to John and Emma Fredericks Vincent, serving in the U.S. Navy during World War II and partnering with his brother in a commercial and residential landscaping company, J.F. Vincent Inc., in Ossining.
Vincent also spent many years with the Ossining Volunteer Fire Department, serving for a year as chief and many years as the deputy fire chief.
He was predeceased by his parents and is survived by his wife Constance and daughter Betsy.

PEEKSKILL, N.Y. – Daniel R. "Danny" Cairl, a longtime Peekskill resident, died Dec. 19. He was 93.
Cairl was born June 6, 1922, in West Pittston, Pa., to Michael and Mary Phyllis Bocolo Caravaggio.
He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II, and worked as a foreman at General Motors in Tarrytown.

PEARL RIVER, N.Y. – Rockland County authorities are ready to investigate John O'Keefe, the monsignor of St. Margaret of Antioch Church in Pearl River, on allegations he sexually abused a child more than 30 years ago, according to LoHud.com.
The New York Archdiocese removed O'Keefe from practicing Mass on Friday, and Bishop Dominick J. Lagonegro, a personal representative of Cardinal Timothy Dolan, stood in for O'Keefe for Saturday afternoon Mass, LoHud reported.
