Long Island Man Charged With Stabbing 50-Year-Old During Fight, Police Say A Long Island man has been charged with assault after allegedly stabbing another person during an altercation. The incident took place in New Cassel around 5:50 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 1 in the area of 846 Prospect Ave. According to detectives, two men were arguing when the incident escalated one was stabbed by the other in the chest. Duo Nabbed With THC Gummies During Long Island Smoke Shop Bust, Police Say Two men have been charged following an investigation of a Long Island smoke shop allegedly dealing in gummies with large quantities of THC. The arrests took place in Bellmore on Tuesday, Nov. 1 at the Smoking Factory located at 1809 Newbridge Road. According to narcotics/vice squad detectives, during the investigation officers determined that gummies containing tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) were being sold at the shop. Water Main Break Causes School Closure In Connecticut Students and staff at one Connecticut school are getting the day off due to a water main break. Located in Middlesex County, Cromwell Middle School will be closed all day on Wednesday, Nov. 2 due to the water main break, said Superintendent of Schools Dr. Enza Marci. Man, Woman Found Dead At Home In Residential CT Neighborhood Police are investigating after a man and a woman were found dead inside a quiet residential neighborhood in Connecticut. The two were found in Hartford County around 5:45 p.m., Friday, Oct. 28 in Vernon. According to Lt. Robert Marra, of the Vernon Police Department, officers responded to the home at 21 Vinetta Drive for a report of two "untimely deaths." Upon the officers' arrival, they located a man and a woman who had died from gunshot wounds, Marra said. Owner Missing After Boat Washes Up With No One On Board At Smith Point Beach Authorities are searching for the owner of a 25-foot pleasure boat that washed ashore on Long Island. US Coast Guard Petty Officer Ryan Schultz said the boat washed ashore around 8:15 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 30, on the ocean side of Smith Point Beach.  There was no one aboard at the time it was found, but all of the electronic equipment was "energized" and working, Schultz said.  The Coast Guard was alerted by the Suffolk County Police who took part in a massive search for the owner that included boats and aircraft on Monday, Oct. 31.
