Stratford Firefighters Warn Residents Of Scam To Solicit Money STRATFORD, Conn. -- The Stratford Professional Firefighters IAFF Local 998 is warning residents of a scam reported in West Haven to ensure that they don't fall for it, too. According to the West Haven Professional Firefighters Local 1198, the scam is targeting West Haven residents and possibly other towns. Some people have received phone calls from an organization identifying itself as the Association of Firefighters and Paramedics.  The scammers are soliciting donations from the people they contact.
