She has a bachelor's degree in English from Stony Brook University and a Master's degree in publishing from Pace University. She married with four teenage children and is a competitive runner and avid exerciser.

Elaine Slotoroff, 88, Somers Resident SOMERS, N.Y. -- Elaine Slotoroff of Somers died Sept. 28. She was 88.She was born in New York City to Ralph and Sadye Levene on July 10, 1927. On Sept. 19, 1948, she married Herman Slotoroff. She is survived by Herman, her husband of 67 years; children Judy, Bob and Debbi and grandchildren Mark, David, Susan, Sam, Jeff, Steven, Daniel and Julie.

Fairfield's Hazardous Waste Day Deemed A Success FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Fairfield's Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day took place Aug. 29.The annual event, conducted the last Saturday in August, provides residents with an opportunity to safely dispose of hazardous items that are not permitted in the regular trash.
