State DOT Discusses Pedestrian Safety In Spring Valley Workshop
SPRING VALLEY, N.Y. — Making Routes 59 and 45 by the Tappan Zee safer for foot traffic is the topic of a Spring Valley community workshop on Tuesday, run by the state Department of Transportation, reports lohud.com. Teens Find Out Fake Firearms Mean Real Weapons Charges By Stamford Cops
STAMFORD, Conn. — Four teens were charged Friday with possession of weapons after being pulled over by police for allegedly running a red light on North Street, reports the Stamford Advocate. While the vehicle was pulled over, Stamford Police saw the black end of what appeared to be a gun and searched the car, the story says. They reportedly found a shoebox with a 9 mm semiautomatic handgun used to fire blanks, along with a BB gun. Car Strikes Chairman Of Bethel School Board During Holiday Event
BETHEL, Conn. -- A car struck the Bethel Board of Education chairman on Greenwood Avenue during the town's annual Winterfest on Friday, reports newstimes.com. Witnesses said Larry Craybas went in the street to slow down a fast-moving car, according to the the story. He was transported to Danbury Hospital and treated for minor injuries, the newstimes said.
