A man, who lived near the school on Fairview Avenue, contacted the principal after he saw the coyote, which the principal then acted right away and brought the kids inside, according to News 12. Stamford Police Support Local Youth Education, Outreach Programs STAMFORD, Conn. -- Each year, more than 3,500 young people in Stamford turn to the Police Athletic League (PAL) to support and provide out-of-school activities, and PAL is looking to continue supporting the youth with programs this spring. The Stamford PAL has sponsored more than three dozen local youth sports teams ranging from little league baseball, girls softball, soccer, ice hockey, crafts, clubs and activities.
