Larchmont Library Hosts Talk On Higher Education LARCHMONT, N.Y. – Wesleyan University President Michael S. Roth will read from his new book, “Beyond the University: Why Liberal Education Matters,” at the Larchmont Public Library. Manursing Island Club Hosts Rye YMCA Fundraiser RYE, N.Y. – Enthusiastic Rye YMCA fans rallied together at the Manursing Island Club on Saturday, March 14, to enjoy an evening of playoff basketball games on four big-screen TVs, tasty food, conversation and some competitive Pop-a-Shot, pingpong and foosball play. Briarcliff HS Names 2015 Valedictorian, Salutatorians BRIARCLIFF MANOR, N.Y. – Briarcliff High School has announced the salutatorians of the class of 2015, as well as naming Grace Orr as the valedictorian. In addition to being a standout scholar, Orr is involved with the school’s Art Club and Red Cross Club and is a varsity soccer and basketball player. Eastchester's Immaculate Conception Plans Special March Events WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. – The Immaculate Conception and Assumption parishes are holding several events in March. The Eastchester Police Department will conduct a memorial Mass honoring Police Officer Michael R. Frey. Frey was slain in the line of duty on March 21, 1996. The Mass will be offered at the Immaculate Conception Church on Saturday at 7 p.m. During the weekends of March 22 and 29, palm crosses will be available for sale after all Immaculate Conception and Assumption Masses. The cost is $10 per cross.
