Robert Hamilton, 67, Of Stamford
STAMFORD, Conn. -- Robert Hamilton died of cancer on Saturday, Feb. 7, in Stamford Hospital. He was 67.
He was born on Nov. 19, 1947, to Margaret Hamilton of Broughshane, Northern Ireland. He graduated from Ballymena Academy and obtained a degree in mathematics and computer science from London University.
After a short period as a teacher, he earned a pilot's license in 1974 after graduating from the Hamble College of Air Training in Hampshire, England, and spent some years flying throughout Europe for British Airways.

RYE, N.Y. -- Dorothy Smith died Sunday, Feb. 8, at her home at Atria in Rye Brook. She was 93.
She was born in White Plains on March 19, 1921, to Anna and Nathan Whitman and lived in Larchmont. She graduated from Mamaroneck High School. Smith was married for more than 60 years to Milton Smith, owner of Roberts Fine Furniture in Greenwich.
She worked for many years as the office manager for the Ridge Street School in Rye Brook and retired to be the office manager at Feinsod Hardware Co. in Port Chester. She was an avid reader, crossword puzzler, bridge, canasta and Mah Jongg player. Most…
Hildegarde Miller, 97, Of Stamford
STAMFORD, Conn. -- Hildegarde Miller died Feb. 5, 2015. She was 97.
Born March 10, 1917 in Germany, she was the daughter of Carl and Emma Haufe. Hildegarde loved to cook and entertain her family and friends at her home. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Hildegarde was predeceased by her husband, Harry Miller Sr., and two sisters. She is survived by her son, Harry Miller Jr. of Stamford; daughter, Arlene Miller of Stamford; two grandchildren; and a great-grandson. She also is survived by several nieces and nephews. RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- Larry and Sherrie Ruschmeyer, owners of New England Landscape & Management Inc., are looking ahead to their fourth year participating in the American Cancer Society’s Hope on the Slopes event on Sunday, Feb. 22, at Jay Peak, Vt.
