WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. – The Westchester County Department of Public Safety and other police agencies in Westchester are participating in a STOP-DWI enforcement campaign that will begin Wednesday, Nov. 26 and continue through the Thanksgiving weekend. Darien White Fifth Grade Football Beats New Canaan
DARIEN, Conn. – The Darien White 5th grade football team beat the New Canaan Red, 16-0, in a game at New Canaan High School on Nov. 22. The Darien 5th grade team worked hard and was named the ‘team of the week’ on News 12. This team is the only Darien Junior Football League that made it to the championship and won this year. PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Pleasantville schools have launched their first spirit wear website, where people can purchase clothing that represents their community. The website will only be open until Dec. 4 to ensure the orders will be delivered in time for the holidays. WILTON, Conn. – The Wilton eighth-grade girls basketball team was triumphant over the LNV-Ansonia team during its season opener Sunday afternoon with a final score of 39-33. Ansonia got into foul trouble early, allowing the Wilton girls to head to the free throw line many times during the first half. Holmes Elementary Students Donate Turkeys To Food Bank
DARIEN, Conn. – Holmes Elementary School in Darien held a successful annual turkey drive to help the Food Bank in Fairfield County. The kids from Holmes Elementary School loaded up the Food Bank of lower Fairfield County's truck with turkeys for the annual turkey drive. Palmer's Market provide Holmes families with turkeys at cost and Stop & Shop in Goodwives provided Holmes with a $100 gift card to buy turkeys.
