School Bus Goes Up In Flames In Westchester A busy road in the region was temporarily closed as crews battled a school bus fire.  The blaze happened on Thursday afternoon, Nov. 7 in Northern Westchester County when the bus caught on fire in Valhalla on Grasslands Road (Route 100), according to the Valhalla Fire Department. Luckily, no students were aboard the bus at the time and no injuries were reported. The blaze was quickly put out and the bus was removed from the road, the department said, adding that the roadway was then reopened to traffic.

Car Fire At Railroad Crossing Causes Metro-North Delays In Westchester A car fire at a Northern Westchester railroad crossing is causing severe delays on a Metro-North line.  The blaze happened on Thursday morning, Nov. 7 at the Virginia Road crossing in the North Castle hamlet of North White Plains, an MTA spokesperson said just before 11 a.m.  The incident is now causing "severe delays" of 85 minutes on the Harlem Line, the spokesperson added.  Metro-North will be arranging a substitute bus service, officials announced in a post on X.  More information about the fire has not yet been released. 3 Rushed To Westchester Medical Center After House Fire Three people were rescued from a burning Hudson Valley home and hospitalized, firefighters said.
