Polio Confirmed In Wastewater In Hudson Valley For First Time In Months The polio virus has been discovered in Hudson Valey wastewater for the first time in months, according to state officials. The New York State Department of Health confirmed the presence of poliovirus in Rockland County wastewater for the first time since October. This single positive result was collected in February and has so far been followed by non-detections in wastewater samples, but unvaccinated residents should still act now to protect themselves, said Rockland County officials. Videos Released In Fatal Shooting Of Hudson Valley Man By Police Video footage has been released as part of an ongoing investigation into the shooting death of a Hudson Valley man by police. New York Attorney General Letitia James released the videos into the death of Daniel McAlpin, age 41, who died on Friday, Sept. 9, 2022, following an encounter with members of the New York State Police and the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office. Suspects On Run Following Long Island Convenience Store Robbery Police on Long Island are searching for two men who allegedly forcefully entered two storage sheds in the back of a convenience store. Man Charged With Forcibly Kissing Face, Lips Of Greenwich Teen, Police Say A Fairfield County man has been charged with allegedly "inappropriately" touching and kissing the face and lips of a 17-year-old Greenwich teen as she walked her dog. Hilmer Santos Roca, age 32, of Bridgeport was arrested on Friday, March 23 for the incident which took place last month, said Lt. Patrick Smyth of the Greenwich Police. Hudson Valley Man Pleads Guilty To Shooting Wife 5 Times in Head With BB Gun A Hudson Valley man has pleaded guilty to shooting his wife five times in the head with a BB gun during a domestic violence incident. Orange County resident Steven Lillo, age 39, of Newburgh, pled guilty on Monday, March 27 to the crime which took place in July 2021, said Orange County District Attorney David Hoovler. DWI: Woman Crashes Into Ambulance In Hudson Valley, Police Say A Hudson Valley woman was charged with felony DWI after allegedly crashing into an ambulance while driving drunk. The crash took place in Orange County on Sunday, March 26 around 9:30 p.m., on westbound I-84 in the town of Montgomery. Police ID Victim Of Fatal Crash Near Park In CT Police have identified the victim of a fatal single-vehicle crash in Connecticut. New Haven County resident Kevin Gormley, age 68, of West Haven, was killed around 6:15 p.m., Saturday, March 25 near the entrance to Fort Nathan Hale Park in New Haven.
