Hudson Valley Man Arrested For Driving Into 3 Schools While Drunk, Police Say A man from the area has been charged with DWI and reckless driving after allegedly intentionally driving into three schools while drunk and high on drugs. Orange County resident Jason D. Hepper, age 33, of Walden, was arrested by the Ulster County Sheriff's Office for the incident which took place on Sunday, Nov. 20. According to Lt. Joseph Sciutto, of the Ulster County Sheriff's Office, deputies spotted Hepper driving off the roadway facing the Wallkill Central School District Administrative building's front entrance. Duo Wanted In Stamford For Stealing From Store, Police Say Police in Fairfield County are asking the public for help identifying two men wanted in connection with the theft of eight car batteries from an auto parts store. The incident took place in Stamford around 5:30 p.m., on Saturday, Dec. 3 at the Advanced Auto store. Sgt. Sean Scanlan said the two men walked out of the store with eight car batteries valued at more than $2,000. Anyone with information is asked to contact 203-977- 4407.

Woman Dies After Seaford Home Becomes Engulfed By Flames One woman was killed and another injured during a roaring house fire on Long Island, in which a fire chief was also burned. The blaze broke out in Seaford around 6:15 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 6 at 2464 Riverside Ave. The first arriving fire chiefs from the Wantagh Fire Department found heavy fire on the second floor of the home, said Nassau County Assistant Chief Fire Marshal James Hickman. IDs Released For CT Man, Woman Killed After Car Crashes Down Embankment Connecticut State Police have released the identities of two people killed in a single-vehicle crash. The crash took place in New Haven County on I-91 in North Haven around 8 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 30 near Exit 12. Police said a 2011 Hyundai Sonata was traveling northbound on I-91 when it passed the off-ramp and ran off the road to the right. The car then traveled down an embankment and collided with a tree, causing the car to catch on fire, state police said. Melville Man Killed In Hit-Run Crash On Long Island Expressway In Ronkonkoma A man who was lying in the roadway off-ramp of the Long Island Expressway was killed by a hit-and-run driver. The incident took place in Ronkonkoma around 8 p.m., Monday, Dec. 5. Suffolk County Police Major Case Unit detectives report the man, identified as Robert Twiford, age 61, of Melville, was lying in the roadway of the LIE Exit 60E off-ramp when he was struck by at least one vehicle, which then fled the scene. Duo Nabbed For Series Of Burglaries In Hudson Valley, Police Say Two men from the area have been nabbed for allegedly committing a series of burglaries. The men were arrested in Ulster County on Friday, Dec. 2 in the town of Saugerties. Following an investigation into several burglaries that occurred throughout the town of Saugerties, Saugerties Police detectives have arrested Kirk Shultis Jr., age 33, and Matthew Doyle, age 40, both of Saugerties, for felony burglary, said Chief Joseph Sinagra, of the Saugerties Police. 58-Year-Old Killed In Chain-Reaction I-84 Crash A 58-year-old Connecticut man was killed in a seven-vehicle chain-reaction crash on I-84. The crash took place in Hartford County around 5 a.m., on I-84 in West Hartford near Exit 44. According to the Connecticut State Police, Gary Michael Carter, of Enfield, was killed when his 2017 Volvo TT hit the back of a Connecticut transit bus stopped in traffic in the right center lane of four on I-84. Man Hospitalized After SUV Crashes Into CT Reservoir A 37-year-old Connecticut man remains in the hospital after the SUV he was driving plunged into an area reservoir. The incident took place in Hartford County around 11:55 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, on Lake Street in Vernon. According to Lt.
