Lane Closures To Slow Traffic On Busy Parkway In Greenburgh, Mount Pleasant: Here's Where, When Traffic on a busy parkway in Westchester is set to be snagged by a series of upcoming lane closures, officials announced. A series of single and double lane closures are planned to affect both directions of the Sprain Brook Parkway between the Taconic State Parkway in Mount Pleasant and Route 100C in Greenburgh on Friday, Feb. 2, and Saturday, Feb. 3, the New York State Department of Transportation announced. The closures will be put into place between the hours of 7 p.m. and 5 a.m. on both days, officials said. The closures will allow crews to perform construction work.

Mount Vernon School District Mourns Fourth-Grade Student 'Taken Far Too Soon' A school district in Westchester is mourning the untimely loss of a young boy.  The Mount Vernon City School District announced the death of fourth-grade student Ayman Yahaya Luwaa on Thursday, Feb. 1.  According to district officials, Luwaa died on Tuesday morning, Jan. 30.
