The southbound Central Westchester Parkway in North White Plains will close on Thursday, Nov. 9 between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., North Castle Police announced. Truck Careens Into Wooded Ditch In Somers A truck had to be towed from a roadside embankment after losing control and careening off a Northern Westchester road.  The incident happened on Tuesday, Nov. 7 around 7:20 a.m., when the Somers Volunteer Fire Department responded to Van Rensselaer Road for a reported crash.  According to the department, arriving crews confirmed that there were no injuries as a result of the crash. Units then worked for around two hours to remove the truck from the wooded embankment.  The cause of the crash was not revealed by authorities.
