Over 100 Sex Offenders To Be Kept Off Westchester Streets On Halloween: Must Attend Program In order to help ensure trick-or-treaters' safety on Halloween night, more than 100 sex offenders in Westchester will be required to attend an educational program to keep them off the streets. The program, which will be mandatory for over 100 registered and non-registered sex offenders on probation in Westchester, will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 31 from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Westchester County Courthouse. Serious Crash Causes Lengthy Closure Of Route 100 In Somers This story has been updated. A serious crash caused the lengthy closure of a portion of a busy main route in Northern Westchester. Beloved Mom From Thornwood Dies At 45: 'Heart Bigger Than The Moon' A much-loved mother from Northern Westchester is being remembered as a selfless, delightful person who was always ready to spend her time helping others. Thornwood resident Christina Nassar died on Saturday, Oct. 28 at the age of 45, according to her obituary. Man Dies After Becoming Trapped Under Excavator In Yorktown This story has been updated. A 59-year-old man was killed after an excavator rolled on top of them on a residential Northern Westchester road, police said. The incident happened on Friday, Oct. 27 around 2:15 p.m., when the Yorktown Heights Volunteer Fire Department responded to an excavator rollover on Baptist Church Road. Shoplifter Caught With Crack Cocaine After Stealing From Jefferson Valley Mall: Police A Hudson Valley man faces several charges after he was caught with crack cocaine and stolen merchandise from both a Macy's and LensCrafters in a Northern Westchester mall, police said. Demolition To Begin On Bridge Over I-95 In New Rochelle: Lane Closures, Traffic Stops Planned Demolition work on a busy bridge over I-95 in Westchester is set to bring lane closures, traffic stops, and other delays as part of a three-year project that will eventually replace the structure.
