Woman Hospitalized After Falling On Tracks At Bedford Hills Train Station A woman was taken to a hospital after she fell on the tracks at a Northern Westchester train station, causing brief Metro-North service delays. The incident happened on Tuesday, Oct. 24 around 8:30 p.m., when a woman accidentally fell on tracks at the Bedford Hills train station, according to an MTA spokesperson. The woman was later assisted and treated by EMS personnel at the scene. She was later taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, officials said. The incident caused temporary delays of up to 25 minutes for Metro-North trains, officials added.

New Rochelle Native Richard Roundtree, Known For 'Shaft' Film Series, Dies Westchester native Richard Roundtree, who was known for portraying John Shaft in the popular "Shaft" film series and broke ground as one of the first Black action heroes, has died after a battle with cancer. Roundtree, who was born in New Rochelle in 1942, died on Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 24 at the age of 81 after a battle with pancreatic cancer, according to numerous reports. Tuckahoe Police Chief Retires After 41 Years With Department: 'Forever Grateful' A police department in Westchester has a new chief following the retirement of its former leader after over four decades as an officer. Ossining Judge Admonished For Trying To Influence Mail Carrier's Parking Fine A Northern Westchester town court justice has been admonished for attempting to influence a fellow judge to be lenient with his mail carrier's parking ticket fine, officials announced. Duo Nabbed After Stealing From Jefferson Valley Mall, Fleeing: Police A man and woman both face charges after stealing merchandise from a shopping mall in Northern Westchester and fleeing, police said. 17-Year-Old Killed In CT Shooting: Suspect At Large, Police Say Authorities are searching for the suspect of a shooting in Connecticut that left a 17-year-old dead and another man injured.
