Here's When Plastic Utensils, Condiments Law Will Go Into Effect In Westchester If you order takeout in Westchester, you'll have to ask for plastic utensils and condiments in order to receive them, according to a new law that will soon go into effect. Driver Hospitalized After Rollover Crash in Croton-On-Hudson A rollover crash on a curvy Northern Westchester road sent one person to the hospital. The incident happened on Thursday, Aug. 24 around 3:30 p.m., when emergency crews responded to a rollover crash in Croton-on-Hudson on Mount Airy Road. According to the Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department, arriving first responders found that the driver had been able to get out of the flipped car on his own. Retired Mount Vernon Police Sergeant, Army Vet Dies A city in Westchester is mourning the loss of a retired police sergeant who served his community for over a quarter of a century. Retired Mount Vernon Police Sergeant Jessie Kimble died on Friday, Aug. 18 at the age of 84, Mount Vernon Police announced. Kimble, a resident of Yonkers, served with the department for over 25 years before retiring, according to his obituary. He joined the department after returning home from service with the US Army. Suspects Steal Cash, Jewelry Using Sleight Hand Techniques In Yorktown: Police Two patrons of a bank and supermarket in Northern Westchester became the victims of four scammers who used sleight-of-hand techniques to steal both cash and jewelry from them, police said. Mosquitoes Carrying West Nile Virus Found In Rye, Mamaroneck: Here's How To Protect Yourself Two batches of mosquitoes in Westchester have tested positive for carrying the West Nile Virus, officials announced. Man Accused Of Groping Multiple Victims At College In Hudson Valley: Police A 32-year-old man faces charges after allegedly groping numerous victims at a college in the Hudson Valley, police said. Vehicle Loses Control, Hits Tree On Taconic Parkway In Yorktown Emergency crews were sent to the Taconic State Parkway in Northern Westchester after a vehicle lost control and struck a tree, injuring the driver.
