14-Year-Old Steals Victim's Car, Hits Her With Her Own Cane In Yorktown: Police A 14-year-old boy was sent to a juvenile detention center after stealing a victim's vehicle and then beating her with her own walking cane in Northern Westchester, police said. The incident happened on Saturday, July 15 just after 2 a.m., when Yorktown police responded to a residence in town for a reported domestic dispute. Man Chokes, Imprisons Wife, Child In Yorktown, Police Say A 39-year-old man faces numerous charges after allegedly assaulting and choking his wife and one of their children in addition to unlawfully imprisoning them and the rest of his family in Northern Westchester, police said. Car Break-Ins: Numerous Thefts Under Investigation In Yorktown Police in Northern Westchester are investigating a spate of overnight vehicle break-ins that resulted in personal items being stolen from unlocked cars. Putnam To Deploy School Bus Cameras To Catch Illegal Passers: Funded By Violators In an effort to catch drivers who illegally pass stopped school buses, Putnam County has entered into an agreement with a company to add cameras on stop sign arms to catch violators.
