Blaze Rips Through Cortlandt Home On Memorial Day A raging house fire kept firefighters busy for nearly three hours on Memorial Day and left a Northern Westchester residence severely damaged. The blaze happened on Monday afternoon, May 29 at a residence in Cortlandt on Maple Avenue, according to the Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department. Crews took nearly three hours to put the fire out, requiring reinforcements to arrive with cold drinks for the tired firefighters. The blaze left the structure of the residence blackened. Luckily though, no injuries were reported.

Shot Fired In Trumbull Mall: Teen Arrested, Second Suspect At Large A shooting incident in a Fairfield County mall has resulted in the arrest of one teenager and an ongoing search for a second teenage suspect, police said. The incident happened at the Trumbull Mall on Monday, May 29 just after 6:30 p.m., when police responded to a report of a gunshot, according to Trumbull Police. Alert Issued For Missing 16-Year-Old From Bridgeport Authorities are asking for the public's help in finding a missing 16-year-old from Fairfield County. Antonio Vargas, age 16, has been missing from Bridgeport since Tuesday, May 16, according to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Vargas is described as a Hispanic male with black hair and brown eyes. He is 5 feet 7 inches tall and 150 pounds. Rollover Crash: Person Hospitalized, Main Road Closed In Somers A vehicle rollover in Northern Westchester left one person hospitalized and caused a main road to be briefly closed to traffic. The crash happened on Saturday, May 27 around 3 p.m., when first responders in Somers were sent to Route 139 between Plumbrook Road and Van Rensselaer Road for a reported vehicle rollover, according to the Somers Volunteer Fire Department. Lane Closures: Traffic On Sprain Brook Parkway In Mount Pleasant To Be Affected A series of lane closures over several days will interrupt traffic on a busy parkway in Northern Westchester. The Sprain Brook Parkway in Mount Pleasant between State Route 100 (Bradhurst Avenue) and Hospital Road will be affected by both single and double lane closures along both directions, the New York State Department of Transportation announced.
