Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Here's New Time Frame For Round Of Scattered Storms On Track For Region A brand-new round of potentially severe, scattered thunderstorms is expected to sweep through the region amid a stretch of oppressive heat. The latest projected time frame for the system is from around midday until around 6 p.m. on Thursday, July 21, according to the National Weather Service. 3-Year-Old Girl Found Unresponsive In Swimming Pool At Lindenhurst Home, Police Say Police are investigating after a 3-year-old girl was found unresponsive in a swimming pool at a Long Island residence. Officers responded to the home in Lindenhurst, located at 341 North Broadway, after a 911 call reporting a child was unresponsive in the home’s swimming pool, Suffolk County Police said. The girl, Avery Wilcox, was transported via ambulance to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in critical condition. Man Accused Of Fatally Stabbing Victim At Shared Coram Residence A Long Island man has been apprehended after police say he fatally a victim at their shared residence. Anthony Smith, age 64, stabbed the adult male acquaintance inside the Coram residence on Carr Lane following an altercation at approximately 4:55 a.m. Tuesday, July 19, Suffolk County Police said. The victim, who also lived at the residence, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not yet been released. Smith was arrested and charged with second-degree murder. 20-Year-Old Killed In Crash At New Rochelle Intersection Police are investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash at a Westchester intersection. It happened around 6:30 p.m. Sunday, July 17 in New Rochelle at the intersection of Main Street and Echo Avenue, and involved a vehicle and a motorcycle. Severe Thunderstorm Watch Issued With 70 MPH Wind Gusts, Lightning, Isolated Tornadoes Possible A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is now in effect for much of the region as a new round of storms is expected to roll through with damaging winds and isolated tornadoes possible. The watch went into effect Monday, July 18 at 1:45 p.m. and lasts until 10 p.m. Wind gusts of between 60 and 70 miles per hour are possible during storm activity, along with small hail, thunder and frequent lightning. 21-Year-Old Killed In Fiery Greenburgh Crash Police are investigating a fiery fatal crash in Westchester County. It happened around 9:45 a.m. Sunday, July 17 on the Sprain Brook Parkway in Greenburgh. Responders were dispatched to mile marker 5.6 northbound for a report of a crash with a vehicle engulfed in flames. Greenburgh Fire and Emergency Medical Services arrived prior to state troopers but were unable to extricate the victim, Paul A. Fitzpatrick, age 21, of Yonkers.
