Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

One Suspect Charged, Another At Large After Attempted Bank Robbery, CT State Police Say A suspect has been apprehended in connection to an attempted armed robbery at a bank in Connecticut and police say they're searching for a second suspect. The incident happened Friday afternoon, Aug. 6 in Litchfield County at the National Iron Bank in Cornwall, located on Furnace Brook Road. 24-Year-Old Killed After Car Crashes Into Telephone Pole In Area, State Police Say A 24-year-old was killed after a car crashed into a telephone pole overnight in the area. The crash happened around midnight Saturday, Aug. 7 near the area of 1675 Route 6 in the Town of Greenville in Orange County. Man Drowns At Long Island Beach Police are investigating the drowning death of a man that happened at a Long Island beach overnight. Two men who were swimming in the water at Smith Point Beach in Shirley were struck by a large wave just before 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 6, Suffolk County Police said. One of the men made it back to the shore and the other was pulled out into the water. Suspect Nabbed After Knifepoint Attempted Robbery At Long Island Urgent Care, Police Say A suspect is in custody after a knifepoint attempted robbery at a Long Island Urgent Care facility. Police responded to a call in Great Neck Plaza involving a suspicious person with a weapon on Great Neck Road at around 10:25 a.m. Friday, Aug. 6. Hurricane Season Will Be Even More Active Than Previously Predicted, NOAA Says Two months into the 2021 Atlantic Hurricane season, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is now saying it's going to be even more active than initially predicted.
