She has a bachelor's degree in English from Stony Brook University and a Master's degree in publishing from Pace University. She married with four teenage children and is a competitive runner and avid exerciser.

Westchester Pet Store Owner Pleads Not Guilty To Animal Cruelty Charges Charges of animal cruelty continue to hang over American Breeders, a Mohegan Lake pet store chain, according to a story on News 12.In July, American Breeders owner Richard Doyle was arrested and charged with animal cruelty and the death of two animals. The 55-year-old Mahopac man pleaded not guilty and called the allegations false, News 12 said. The allegations include failing to properly care for a dog and a kitten at his Danbury store location.
