Bogota Girl Scouts Sponsor Blood Drive Linked To Library Book Donation BOGOTA, N.J. -- Bogota Girl Scout Jr. Troop 94500 is sponsoring a blood drive Friday, Nov. 27, from 1-5 p.m. at the Bogota Recreation Center, 162 West Main St.  For each donation, Community Blood Services will donate a free book to the local library.  The group will do this along with the theme of give red for Black Friday.  Walk-ins are welcome to the event but those can also schedule appointments in advance.  The group wants to remind the community that every drop counts. Galt, of Stamford, a retired businessman and teacher, has died at the age of 95. Born in New Jersey, he was the son of the late Lawrence and Gladys Galt. In 1941, he graduated from Springfield College in Springfield, Mass. with a B.S in physical education.  He served as an ensign in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific theater in World War II.
