She has a bachelor's degree in English from Stony Brook University and a Master's degree in publishing from Pace University. She married with four teenage children and is a competitive runner and avid exerciser.

Westchester County Blood Drive Part Of 9/11 Observance Westchester County once again will have a “9/11: Serve + Remember” blood drive.The blood drive is in partnership with the New York Blood Center and Volunteer New York! as part of the county’s Sept. 11 observance. It will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11 at the Westchester County Center, 198 Central Park Ave., White Plains. Anyone between the ages of 16- 76 and weighing at least 110 pounds is a potential donor. Individuals older than 76 must produce a doctor's note form shortly before the drive to be approved. Croton Falls Fire Department Will Honor 9/11 Anniversary CROTON FALLS, N.Y. -- Each year, the Croton Falls Fire Dept. hosts a 9/11 remembrance ceremony at the firehouse in North Salem, 301 Titicus Road This year the ceremony will take place on Friday, Sept. 11, at 6:30 p.m. There will be clergy from local churches, high school bands and choruses, Boy Scouts, American Legions, Ladies Auxillary, speeches, and music, along with refreshments.

New Rochelle Schools Release Hours NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- The new school year is starting soon.The school district of New Rochelle's hours for the 2015-16 school year are: NRHS: 8:15 a.m. to 3:07 p.m. IEYMS: 8:25 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Grade 6 8:25 a.m. to 2:25 p.m., Grade 7 8:15 a.m. to 2:20 p.m. - Grade 8 ALMS: 8:40 a.m. to 2:40 p.m. Elementary K-5: 8:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.Barnard Pre-K: 8:30-11:15 a.m.; and 12:30-3:15 p.m. Please note that in the district's printed calendar, some school start times were published as to when the first class begins, not when students should report to school.

Mexican Dance Company Performs In New Rochelle NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- The Calpulli Mexican Dance Company (Calpulli Danza Mexicana) presented a colorful program Aug. 22 in the Ruby Dee Park at Library Green. The Ruby Dee Park is adjacent to the Ossie Davis Theater of the New Rochelle Public Library.
