Sheriff's Department Makes Three Drug Busts In Half A Day In Paterson
PATERSON, N.J. -- The Passaic County Sheriff’s department made three arrests for drugs in 12 hours Tuesday, according to a story by NJ.com. The first arrest was at about 4:45 p.m. Tuesday when police arrested Miquel Chappelle, 42, the story said, Police allegedly found 80 baggies of marijuana and $185 in cash, NJ.com reported. Chappelle was charged with various drug offenses, including possession and intent to distribute in a school vicinity, the story said. Walk Aims To Raise Breast Cancer Awareness In Englewood
ENGLEWOOD, N.J. -- The Englewood Hospital and Medical Center will host two events for breast cancer Sunday, Oct. 25. Town Motors will sponsor a Walk For Awareness to Fight Breast Cancer at 1 p.m. In addition, the EHMC Foundation will host the Susan Lucianna Memorial Dog Walk. This special community fundraising event benefits The Leslie Simon Breast Care and Cytodiagnosis Center at EHMC, allowing the hospital to provide lifesaving services and medical care to uninsured women in the community. Ridgewood Man Inspires Pro Bono Legal Institute To Help Bullying Victims
RIDGEWOOD, N.J. -- The Tyler Clementi Institute for Internet Safety has begun at the New York Law School, NorthJersey.com reported. The program was launched Oct. 3 and is the first pro bono law school clinic that represents victims of “cyberbullying” in the country, according to the story.
