Elsie Listorti, 93, Longtime Bridgeport Resident
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — Longtime Bridgeport resident Elsie (Licursi) Listorti died Sunday, May 15. She was 93.
Born in Santa Croce di Magliano, Italy, Listorti moved to Bridgeport in 1936 and worked at Remington Road until the birth of her daughter, Linda.
Listorti is survived by her sister, Fannie Donofrio and her husband, Carmine; nieces and nephews, Laura Cerino, Debra Meno and her husband, Gary, and their daughter, Erica, David Licursi and his daughter, Giada, Richard Licursi and his wife, Heather, and their children, Brittany and Richard; and a cousin, Martin Marchese.

WESTPORT, Conn. — Longtime Westport resident Dr. Harry P. Engel died Friday, May 13. He was 83.
Born in Prague, Czechoslovakia, Engel graduated from the University of Durham Medical School, Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, England and completed his residencies at Boston City Hospital and Bridgeport Hospital and his fellowship at National Hospital for Nervous Diseases in London.

YONKERS, N.Y. — Yonkers resident Vera Bohnik (Scuderi) died on Saturday, May 7. She was 88.
Bohnik graduated from the High School of Commerce in Yonkers and worked for Verizon for 25 years.
Bohnik is survived by her sons, Leopold and his wife, Phyllis, John, Steven and his wife, Karen, and her daughter, Linda Olszewski.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Leigh Wilkins, Victoria Bollenback, Luke Olszewski, Danielle and Steven Bohnik and great-grandchildren, Evan and Matthew Wilkins and Lila Bollenback.

Irving J. Levine, 93, Mamaroneck Resident
MAMARONECK, N.Y. — Mamaroneck resident Irving J. Levine died on Monday, May 9. He was 93.
He was born on July 5, 1922, to Max and Pauline Levine in Mount Vernon, Levine served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
After returning from military service combat, Levine was an editor with Gannett Newspapers in White Plains, now The Journal News.
His wife, Lillian Levine died in 1993, and he also was predeceased by one brother, Milton Levine and two sisters, Frieda and Estelle.

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. — Poughkeepsie resident Karen Ann Grossnickle died Wednesday, May 11. She was 62.
A Chicago native, Grossnickle is survived by her mother, Jean Grossnickle; a brother, Michael Grossnickle; a sister, Gloria Grossnickle; nephew Ryan Grossnickle; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Grossnickle was predeceased by her father, James Grossnickle.
There will be no calling hours.

A Poughkeepsie native, Ventresca previously was employed at Kemp & Beatley, and Price Chopper as a cashier.
