Yonkers Art Gallery Changes Name To Riverfront YONKERS, N.Y. -- The Yonkers Art Gallery has changed its name to Riverfront Art Gallery and will be exhibiting a new show throughout April. “In and Out of the Can” by artist Howard Better will have an opening reception and artist talk 5:30-8 p.m. Thursday. The exhibit will feature thousands of 3-D can collage sculptures. Stamford Teams Make It To World Finals Of Odyssey Of The Mind STAMFORD, Conn.-- Working through the Stamford Youth Foundation, 10 Stamford teams that competed in the 34th Connecticut State Odyssey of the Mind Tournament went to the state finals with 160 other teams from around the state on March 21. The winning teams will join other state and international teams in the World Finals at Michigan State University in May. The teams from Westover and Scofield/Rippowam placed first in their problem category, with Roxbury taking second place. A third-place finish was awarded to a second Roxbury team. 'Jazz Meets Classical' With Soundview At The New Rochelle Public Library NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- The musical ensemble Soundview, will present a concert entitled “Jazz Meets Classical” at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 19 in the Ossie Davis Theater of the New Rochelle Public Library.  The concert is made possible by the Lillian Robbins and Rick Englander Memorial Fund. A donation of $2 is suggested at the door. Soundview is led by saxophonist and composer Alexander McCabe, of New Rochelle.
