MAMARONECK, N.Y. -- More than 30 women recently came together to try their hands at painting on canvas and to learn about opportunities for involvement and volunteering at Westchester Jewish Center in Mamaroneck. The event was a joint effort by UJA-Federation of New York’s Larchmont-Mamaroneck Women’s Philanthropy and the Sisterhoods of Westchester Jewish Center and Larchmont Temple. Bronxville PTA Presents Next Chapter Benefit Fundraiser
BRONXVILLE, N.Y. -- The Bronxville PTA will be having its Next Chapter Benefit gala, which is a fundraiser to help pay for the renovation of the Bronxville Middle School/High School library. The architectural design, which was underwritten by the PTA, calls for transforming and modernizing the space. It also includes upgrading the electrical system to support more technology, new furnishings and air conditioning. The estimated cost of the project is $800,000. MAMARONECK, N.Y. – A team of five Mamaroneck High School (MHS) students has been selected as semifinalists in the High School Fed Challenge, a multi-level competition designed to bring real world economics into the classroom.
