Daughters Of Liberty's Legacy Celebrates Women's History Month In Peekskill
PEEKSKILL, N.Y. – The Daughters of Liberty's Legacy successfully presented a program at the Peekskill Museum on March 15, for Women’s History Month. The topic was Daughters of Liberty during the American Revolution, and included a living history presentation by “Ann Fisher Miller,” born in 1728, who hosted George Washington and other generals at her home (Miller House) during the war. SCARSDALE, N.Y. – Due to recent inclement weather, tryouts for the women's tennis team have been postponed and will now be held on Monday, March 30 and Tuesday, March 31. Tryouts are only for women new to the community or for those who did not tryout in the fall. WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Assemblywoman Sandy Galef's bill, which would guarantee copyright claims not hamper the desire or ability of citizens to use public records or serve as a roadblock to the economic interests of the state, passed the Assembly 104-1.
