Greenwich's Bruce Museum's 'Downton Abbey' Benefit Is A Rousing Success
GREENWICH, Conn. – An evening inspired by "Downton Abbey," the Bruce Museum’s Winter Benefit, took place Saturday, Feb. 7, at the grandest of the Great Estates in Greenwich, the Topping Estate on Round Hill Road.
Co-chaired by Jean Doyen de Montaillou, Michael Kovner and Leah Rukeyser, the event drew its inspiration from the popular PBS series "Downton Abbey." The show is set in a post-Edwardian era, beginning in 1919 and continuing (so far) to about 1924, and the Bruce encouraged guests to arrive in period attire.
