Allan Harvey, 93, Former Norwalk Resident
THORNTON, Colo. -- Allan Harvey passed away Tuesday, Dec. 2, in Thornton at age 93.
He was born Oct. 18, 1921 in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. He graduated from the University of Guelph and Michigan State University and earned a master’s degree in biochemistry. There, he met his future wife, Priscilla Downer, and they married in 1949. He was an editor of the newspaper at Guelph University, on the debate team and participated in hockey, softball and track. NORWALK, Conn. -- Helen (Koplaski ) Takacs, of Norwalk, died on Monday, Jan. 5, at Norwalk Hospital. She was 92.
Born in Stamford, she was the wife of the late Robert B. Takacs. She is survived by her children, Barbara Ann Edwards of Norwalk; Carol Bickerstaff of Norwalk; Robert Takacs Jr. of Rio Rancho, N.M.; Lawrence Takacs of Bowie, Md.; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was predeceased by her son Steven Takacs; her siblings, Vincent, Walter, Steven, Eugene, Joseph and Elizabeth; and a granddaughter, Christine McCormack.

TUCSON, Ariz. -- Judith Gallen of Westport, Conn. and Tucson, Ariz. died on Dec. 28, 2014 at her home. She was 81.
Gallen was an avid painter, reader, and a grand socialite.
Born on Oct. 31, 1933, Gallen lived a rich and full life and touched so many people. She was a loved mother, sister, aunt and grandmother.
