Stamford Receives $264K State Grant To Add Open Space Along Mill River STAMFORD, Conn. – The City of Stamford has received a $263,647 state grant to help purchase open space along the Mill River to add to the trail easement. The city negotiated with 11 separate property owners to acquire a trail easement along the owners’ back yards that abut the Mill River. About 50 feet in width, the trail easement will add to the 28-acre, 3-mile-long Mill River Park and Greenway. The acquisition of the easement will not relocate residents or businesses, but it will restore natural habitat along the river. A longtime goal of Stamford, the trail easement along Mill River …

Norwalk Public Works Department Details Snow Removal Policy NORWALK, Conn. – With the approach of winter and snow, the Norwalk Department of Public Works has announced its policies for snow removal. There are 255 miles of city roadways in Norwalk. Snow removal can cost more than $5,000 per hour. Snow cleanup usually takes 16 to 24 hours after the end of a snowstorm.
