Muse Paintbar Combines Art Lessons With Wine Bar
WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- Combining painting instruction with a wine bar, Muse Paintbar has opened for classes at the company’s first Westchester location at 84 Mamaroneck Ave., White Plains.
Designed for artists and nonartists of all ages and skill levels, Muse Paintbar is place for friends to learn, laugh, relax and celebrate life’s milestones with skilled painting instructors in a warm and inviting space. Muse is managed by Stan Finch, president and co-founder, Vanessa Leigh, co-founder and lead artist, and is run in cooperation with artists from the Westchester area.

Bedford's Megan Green Graduates From Scranton U
WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Michael A. Ziminsky, of Mount Kisco, and Megan Green, of Bedford, were among more than 930 bachelor's and associate degree recipients at The University of Scranton's undergraduate commencement on May 31.
Ziminsky earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration, and Green earned a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology.
Members of the Scranton's class of 2015 represent 16 states, including Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Washington.
New Rochelle Library Events Include Scrapbooking, Twain House Tour
NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- The New Rochelle Public Library has announced several upcoming events for the community, including a scrapbooking workshop and a visit to the Mark Twain House.
A group trip to the Mark Twain House in Hartford, Conn., will be on Wednesday. Guided tours of the 1874 house, time in the museum, lunch and guided tours of the neighboring Harriet Beecher Stowe House are all included with the $60 ticket.
