State Offers $1.5M To Enhance Local Waterfronts, Including Orangetown ORANGETOWN, N.Y. – Nine communities around the Tappan Zee Bridge, including Orangetown, are going to divide roughly $1.5 million in state money aimed at improving their waterfronts, according to LoHud.com. Hackensack Recreation Department Open Swim Registration Extended HACKENSACK, N.J. – The Hackensack Recreation Department has extended registration for its open swim program, set to begin Wednesday and continue until Thursday, Dec. 31. Those interested can register for free at the department's office at 116 Holt St.. One must have proof of residency.
