Connie Booth, a New Rochelle resident in her youth, turns 72 on Sunday.
Booth, an actress, comedienne, writer and psychotherapist, was born on Jan. 31, 1944, in Indianapolis.
She is best-known for her appearances in British film and television alongside then-husband John Cleese in the 1970s, appearing in episodes of “Monty Python's Flying Circus,” the film “Monty Python and the Holy Grail,” and writing and co-starring with Cleese in “Fawlty Towers.”

Evelyn Sommer, 91, Of Stamford
STAMFORD, Conn. – Evelyn Sommer of Stamford died Wednesday, Jan. 27. She was 91.
She worked as a research chemist, moving on to become a patent attorney after earning her law degree from Brooklyn Law School.
Sommer worked as a lawyer from 1954 to just before her death.
She was predeceased by her husband, Rudolph.
She is survived by her twin, Julia Einbinder of Richmond, Va.; three children, Peter of Cambridge, Mass., Cathy Iselin of Brooklyn and Tim of Westchester County, N.Y., three grandchildren; and 15 nieces and nephews.

Herman Belinski, 85, Formerly Of Bridgeport
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Herman Belinski, of St. Petersburg, Fla., and formerly of Bridgeport, died Monday, Jan. 25. He was 85.
He was born to George and Mary (nee Strempel) Belinski. He served in the Air Force for two years and went on to teach at Central High in Bridgeport.
Belinski worked as a business manager for private schools across the country.
He was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Natalie; two brothers, Robert and John; and a sister, Irene Stevens.

NORWALK, Conn. – C. Sheldon Thompson Jr., of Norwalk, died Monday, Jan. 25 at Norwalk Hospital. He was 88.
Thompson was born in Los Angeles to Charles Sheldon and Lillie Esther (nee Magie) Thompson. He served as a Merchant Marine in World War II.
He went on to work as a teacher at Westminster College and the University of Utah, earning a Ph.D.
After teaching in Utah, Thompson worked as a mineralogist for various corporations, including Union Carbide and R.T. Vanderbilt.
He continued as an industrial consultant after retiring.

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Mary G. (nee Ofcharsky) Zaleski, a retired seamstress of Bridgeport, died on Jan. 26 in River Glen Health Care Center. She was 91.
Zaleski was born in Olyphant, Penn. to Joseph and Mary Ofcharsky.
