Mahwah Library Offering Coding Class For Computer Science Education Week MAHWAH, N.J. – The Mahwah Library will celebrate Computer Science Education Week with a one-time "Hour of Code" class Wednesday. Two classes are planned, as second- and third-graders will have class at 4:15 and fourth- and fifth-graders will have one at 5:15 p.m. The class is intended to demystify coding and give everyone a chance to learn how to code. Celebrate The Holidays In Clarkstown With Annual Festival NEW CITY, N.Y. – The 20th annual Clarkstown Holiday Festival will take place on Saturday, Dec. 5 at 5 p.m. at the Zukor Park Street Community Center in New City. Tommy Gardner of the Uncle Brothers will lead a musical holiday show, and then a special guest will make an appearance. The Rockland County Historical Society will open up their 40th Anniversary Historical Exhibition from 4 to 5 p.m. for free before the Festival begins.

Haslam was born May 26, 1925, in Pleasant Valley, to John Ferguson and Catherine Bradley Ferguson, working for IBM in Poughkeepsie. She was predeceased by her parents, brother William Ferguson and sister Mary Jones. Sue Serino turned heated on Tuesday night as a critic of hers tried to record the forum, reported the Poughkeepsie Journal. Mert Melfa of Poughkeepsie has been a vocal critic of Serino's, and was told by Serino and a police officer on site that he couldn't tape the forum. Man Charged With DWI In Clarkstown Stop CLARKSTOWN, N.Y. – A Yonkers man was arrested by state police on Nov. 25 after driving erratically on I-87 around 11 p.m. Mark O'Connor, 45,  was cited for multiple traffic violations, including aggravated driving while intoxicated, after state police stopped his car. He was processed with a blood alcohol level of 0.21, more than twice the legal limit. O'Connor was turned over to a sober third party and given an appearance ticket for Dec. 16 in Clarkstown Town Court.

Norwalk Police, Coast Guard Investigate Sinking Of Two Sailboats At Marina NORWALK, Conn. – The Coast Guard and Norwalk Police Department are joining forces to investigate the Monday morning sinking of two sailboats at Shore Point Marina, according to The Hour. The sailboats were discovered sunk by the marina's building manager, Dave Rosenbaum, who immediately contacted the authorities. A technician from the Coast Guard was on site to try to figure out why the boats sank, reported The Hour.
