Overturned Truck On Route 287 Causes Delays: Njdot A truck has overturned on Route 287 in Morris County on Wednesday, Aug. 14, the New Jersey Department of Transportation said. The truck overturned at 7:38 a.m. on Route 287 in Morris Township south of Exit 34, the NJDOT said. Two left lanes are closed, causing a 35 to 40 minute delay, the NJDOT said.

Purse Snatchers At Large In Newark (Photo) Police are looking for three people wanted for snatching a woman's purse at a restaurant in Newark on Saturday, Aug. 10. At 2 p.m., a woman left her purse on the table after dining outside at Ferry Street Barbecue at 89 Ferry Street, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said. The suspect were captured on surveillance video taking her purse, containing her personal belongings, including $150 and credit cards, authorities said. Franklin Man Fired Gunshots Onto Neighbor's Property: Police A 52-year-old Franklin man was arrested on Saturday, July 27, after he fired gunshots that damaged his neighbor's property, authorities said. Officers arrived on Corkhill Road and determined Kevin Kaye was intoxicated when he was handling the rifle, causing damage to his neighbor's fence, above-ground pool, children's clubhouse and garage, Franklin Borough police said. Missing Morris County Girl Found Safe On Train In North Carolina: Prosecutor A 15-year-old Morris County girl, who had been missing since last month, was found safe on the evening of Tuesday, Aug. 13, authorities said. Investigators determined the girl was on an interstate train heading south and contacted police in North Carolina, who were able to locate her on a train, unharmed, and took her into protective custody, Morris County Prosecutor Robert Carroll, Chief of Detectives Robert McNally, and Morris County Sheriff James Gannon said. Two Men Arrested For Assault With Motorcycle Helmet At Guttenberg Bar: Police Two men were recently arrested and charged for assaulting another man with a motorcycle helmet outside a bar in Guttenberg in June, authorities said. On Saturday, June 1 at 1:16 a.m., police responded to a bar at 68th Street and Bergenline Avenue and found a man suffering from multiple head injuries and bleeding profusely, Guttenberg police said in a release. Man Arrested For Masturbating At Bridgewater Target: Police A 21-year-old East Orange man was arrested and charged on Thursday, Aug. 8 with masturbating at a Target in Bridgewater earlier this month, police said. On Thursday, Aug. 1 at 7:21 p.m., Jason Banks was seen exposing his genitals and gratifying himself in the toy aisle of the Target on Promenade Boulevard, Bridgewater police said in a release. A week later, police located Banks and arrested him after conducting an interview, officers said. He was charged with lewdness and lodged in the Somerset County Jail pending a detention hearing, police said.
