Actor Treat Williams, Stamford Native, Killed In Crash Connecticut native and well-known actor Treat Williams best known for his role in the TV show "Everwood" and the movie "Hair," was killed in a crash in Vermont. Williams, who grew up in Fairfield County, in the city of Stamford, was killed around 4:50 p.m., Monday, June 12 in Bennington County on Vermont Route 30 in Dorset. Williams was born in Stamford and grew up in Rowayton, a coastal village in the city of Norwalk. Multimillion-Dollar Scheme: Woman From Region Nabbed For Money Laundering, Bank Fraud, Feds Say A 49-year-old woman from the region has been charged with conspiring to commit money laundering and bank fraud, stealing more than $10 million from victims. Sullivan County resident Tetiana Berriors, of the hamlet of Smallwood, was arrested on Thursday, June 8, said Damian Williams, the US Attorney for the Southern District of New York. 61-Year-Old Dies After Hitting 'Roadkill,' Losing Control Of Vehicle In Cortlandt A 61-year-old Hudson Valley man was killed after his vehicle left the roadway. The accident took place in Northern Westchester County around 6:30 p.m., Sunday, June 11 on Dogwood Road in Cortlandt. According to New York State Police Trooper Steven Nevel, the unidentified man from Putnam Valley was driving a 1998 Harley Davidson motorcycle when he crashed. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The fire took place in Tolland County around 11:30 p.m., Sunday, June 11 on Haney Lane in Vernon. According to Lt. The body was found in New Haven County early Monday, June 12 in the Harbor Brook River in Meriden, police dispatchers confirmed.
