She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. Drug Task Force Bust: Duo Nabbed In Hudson Valley Search Two Hudson Valley residents have been charged with alleged possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell after a search of their home. The incident took place in Dutchess County on Thursday, March 30 at 400 Maple St., in the City of Poughkeepsie. The Dutchess County Drug Task Force reports the arrest of Jon M. Lowe, age 36, and Sarah Thomas-Marron, age 31, both of the City of Poughkeepsie, Det. Sgt. Adam Harris of the task force. Teen Gang Assault: 5 Suspects Accused Of Repeatedly Beating 16-Year-Old In Hudson Valley Five Hudson Valley teens have been charged with allegedly repeatedly beating a 16-year-old causing bleeding from his mouth and nose. The incident took place in Ulster County near the entrance to the Berme Road Park in Ellenville. After the teen was able to break away and run, the five continued to follow him as he fled the park and beat him again at two other locations including at 244 Canal St., said Chief Phillip Mattracion, of the Ellenville Police. Stamford Man Caught With Glock Following Crime Stoppers Tip, Police Say A Stamford man was charged with criminal possession of a firearm after police received a tip from Crime Stoppers that he was in possession of an illegal firearm. Members of the department's Narcotics and Orange unit were able to use information in the tip to identify the man as John Carolos Ruis-Franco, age 18, said Stamford Assistant Chief of Police Richard Conklin. Vicious Assault: Suspect Nabbed After Woman Suffers Fractured Skull Near Library In CT A Connecticut man is behind bars after allegedly viciously beating a woman on an area sidewalk in an unprovoked attack. The incident took place in Middlesex County on Thursday, March 23 in the area of Russell Library in Middletown. According to Middletown Police, officers responded to the area on a report of an injured woman. CT Trooper Jumps To Safety When Cruiser Hit By Impaired Driver, Police Say A Connecticut State Police trooper escaped injury as he jumped out of the way when an alleged impaired driver slammed into the back of his cruiser as he was helping another driver. Swastikas Found At High School In Hudson Valley Police in the Hudson Valley are investigating after several swastikas were discovered at an area high school. Hudson Valley Man Charged With Burning Car, Filing Fraudulent Claim, Police Say A Hudson Valley man has been charged with arson after allegedly having his car burned and then filing a fraudulent claim. Ulster County resident William Duryea, age 27, of Saugerties, was arrested on Monday, March 27 by state police, said Trooper Steven Nevel. On Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2022, Duryea went to work at 10 p.m. at the Ulster Service Area on I-87. Online Gambling Scam: 23-Year-Old Suspect From Norwalk Charged A Fairfield County man who worked as a shuffler for an online gaming company with live dealers has been charged in an alleged cheating scam in which he made more than $47,000.
