Man Charged With Wide-Ranging Credit Card Fraud Scheme In Region A 30-year-old man has been charged in connection with an alleged wide-ranging fraud scheme using an area man's credit card. The scheme came to light in Sullivan County on Wednesday, Jan. 18, when a Parksville resident, a hamlet of Liberty, reported that a fraudulent $296 charge had been made to his credit card at a Chenango County gas station in the Norwich area, said Undersheriff Eric Chaboty of the Sullivan County. Nor'easter: Dutchess County Storm Update Dutchess County officials are warning residents that the county remains in the midst of a long-duration snow and wind event, with several areas throughout the area already experiencing downed trees. A countywide travel restriction remains in place, with only emergency and essential vehicles permitted on roadways, officials said. Two sections of County Route 83, which extends from Amenia to Pine Plains, are currently closed due to downed trees. Rescue: 9 Residents Overcome By Carbon Monoxide On Long Island Saved Nine Long Island residents suffering from high levels of carbon monoxide were saved by police and firefighters. The incident took place around 9:20 p.m., Monday, March 13 at a home on Buchanan Road in East Meadow. 4-Year-Old Killed In Bridgeport Car Crash Was 'Wild Man,' Family Says A 4-year-old boy who was involved in a crash in Bridgeport that killed his aunt has died from his injuries.
