33-Year-Old Woman Killed After Car Crashes Into Guardrail On I-84 Connecticut State Police are seeking witnesses to a single-vehicle crash that killed a 33-year-old Massachusetts woman on I-84. The Hartford County crash took place in Farmington around 10:30 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 14 on I-84 westbound. Hampden County resident Tiarra Thomas, of Springfield, was traveling westbound near Exit 39A in the left lane of three when for an unknown reason she lost control of her 2015 Ford Edge, state police said. Parolee Nabbed With Gun, Drugs In Hudson Valley A 23-year-old Hudson Valley parolee was allegedly nabbed with a loaded semi-automatic pistol and drugs after police received a narcotics complaint. The incident took place in Orange County around 1:15 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 7, in the area of William Street and Benkard Avenue in the city of Newburgh. Newburgh Police said they attempted to stop parolee Kadeem Knight, of Newburgh, after receiving a narcotics complaint. 3 Overdose In Bridgeport Apartment In Front Of Children, Police Say Police are investigating after three people were found overdosing in a Fairfield County apartment. The incident took place in Bridgeport around 9:30 p.m., Monday, Feb. 13 after a resident of the Greene Homes Apartments located on Harral Avenue reported their neighbor was unresponsive, said Scott Appleby, director of Emergency Management for the City of Bridgeport. Trader Joe's Thieves Nabbed In Darien: Duo Caught With Wallet, Phones, Police Say A Darien Police detective on the lookout for wallet thieves at the Darien Trader Joe's nabbed two men who allegedly stole a woman's wallet and several cell phones. The incident took place around 2:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 10 at Trader Joe's at 436 Post Road. Woman Critically Injured In Single-Car Crash In Hudson Valley A 75-year-old woman from the area was critically injured after crashing her 2002 Mazada Tribute into a stand of trees. The crash took place in Ulster County around 4:30 p.m., Monday, Feb. 13 in the area of 3780 Route 32 in Saugerties. Duo Nabbed For 2020 Murder Of Hudson Valley Man Two Hudson Valley men have been charged with second-degree murder for their part in the death of an area man. On Monday, March 2, 2020, the body of 64-year-old Paul Thompson was found in his apartment at 399 Main Street; his death was ruled a homicide by the medical examiner's office, said Det. Lt. Agitated Man Blocks Hudson Valley Roadway With Truck, Camper, Refuses To Move, Police Say A 53-year-old man was taken to an area hospital for a mental evaluation after he blocked an area roadway for more than 90 minutes after parking his truck and camping trailer across the road. ID Released For Boy Who Died After Falling Through Ice In Hudson Valley Authorities have released the identity of a 17-year-old boy who died after falling through the ice at a state park. Dutchess County resident Noah Thompson, of Amenia, was found about 2:50 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10, after police responded to the Taconic State Park on Shagroy Road in the Town of North East for a report of someone who had fallen through the ice.
