She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. Stamford Man On Federal Parole Nabbed Again With Drugs, Weapons, Police Say A Stamford man who was recently released from federal prison has been busted again with alleged drugs and weapons. Charles "Paco" Handy, age 55, was busted by members of the Stamford Police Drugs and Organized Crime Unit on Tuesday, Feb. 14. Members of the unit were watching Handy after receiving word he was dealing drugs in the area and had a handgun, said Stamford Assistant Police Chief Richard Conklin. When officers spotted Handy driving an older white pickup truck they pulled him over and found a loaded handgun with six rounds, and 12 bags of cocaine weighing 3.3 grams, Conklin said. …

Woman Dies After Being Hit By Car In Bridgeport A 74-year-old woman hit by a 2018 Acura IIX in Bridgeport has died from her injuries. The incident took place on Tuesday, Feb. 14 around 4:30 p.m. near the intersection of Fairfield Avenue and Broad Street. According to Sgt. Darryl Wilson of the Bridgeport Police, police received several calls of a pedestrian being struck by a car and wasn't moving. When officers and EMS arrived on the scene they found the woman who had sustained lower extremity trauma and a head injury. Hudson Valley Fentanyl-Crack Dealer Busted By Drug Task Force, Police Say An alleged fentanyl and crack dealer is behind bars after being busted for possession of a "significant" quantity of drugs found during a warrants search in the Hudson Valley. Dutchess County resident Jerod F. Willis, age 40, of the city of Poughkeepsie, was arrested on Thursday, Feb. 16, before a warrant search was conducted at his South Cherry Street home. IDs Released For 2 Of 3 Found Dead In CT Home State Police have identified two of three people found dead inside a northern Connecticut home as being Massachusetts residents. The three, including a child, were found in Windham County in the town of Brooklyn around 8:27 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 14, said Connecticut State Police. The two have been identified as Lury M. Sixth-Grade Student Dies After Overnight House Fire In Redding A middle school student was killed during a fire at his residence in Fairfield County Redding. The blaze began around 11:30 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 14 in Redding at the Karlson family home on Diamond Hill Road, officials said. Man Stabbed During Fight At Hudson Valley Gas Station, Police Say A 47-year-old man was stabbed during an altercation with another man at a Hudson Valley gas station.
