Bar Shooting: Suspect Nabbed After Incident In Shelton A 32-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly firing shots during a fight at a Shelton bar. The incident took place during the early morning hours of Saturday, Feb. 11 at the Center Street Social in Shelton. Officers responded to the club after receiving a call for shots fired when the business was closing and a fight erupted between several men, said Det. Richard Bango, of the Shelton Police. Man Crossing Bohemia Roadway Dies After Being Hit By At Least 3 Vehicles A man crossing a busy Long Island roadway was hit by at least three vehicles while crossing a busy roadway. The man was crossing in front of 3870 Veterans Memorial Highway in Bohemia when he was struck by an eastbound 2003 Honda Civic at approximately 8:30 p.m., on Monday, Feb. 20. The driver of the Honda, Victor Velez, age 32, of Bayport, stopped his car and then saw two other vehicles hit the victim and continue eastbound without stopping, Suffolk County Police said. Man Accused Of Beating Woman, Taking Police On Pursuit In Hudson Valley A man has been charged in connection with the alleged violent beating of a woman and then taking deputies on a pursuit in the Hudson Valley. Ulster County resident, Matthew A. Dequarto, age 23, of Rosendale, was arrested on Thursday, Feb. 16, for the Monday, Tuesday, Feb. 13 assault, said Lt. Hit-Run Crash: ID Released For 20-Year-Old Woman Struck, Killed By Car On I-91 Police have released the identity of a 20-year-old woman killed by a hit-and-run driver as they ask for witnesses to the crash in Connecticut. Hampden County resident Yaseri Cortes, of Springfield, Massachusetts, was struck around 10:20 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 19 in Hartford County. Man Pours Gas On Woman, Trailer In Middletown, Police Say An investigation continues after a Connecticut man allegedly poured gas on a woman and a trailer and threatened to set them on fire before holding police at bay for more than an hour. The incident took place in Middlesex County around 10:30 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 18 at 500 Washington St., in Middletown. Suspect Who Stabbed Manchester Woman Remains At Large, Police Say A masked man who allegedly stabbed a Connecticut woman numerous times during a home invasion is on the loose. The incident took place in Hartford County around 7 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 16 at 67 Oakland St., in Manchester. According to Lt. Ryan Shea, of the Manchester Police, when officers responded to the home they found a 23-year-old woman suffering from multiple stab wounds to her abdomen. Hit-Run Crash: Man Charged After Woman Struck, Killed In Hudson Valley A Hudson Valley man has been charged in the death of a woman who was hit and killed by a car. Rockland County resident Bryan Castillo-Solorzano, age 26, of Spring Valley, was arrested on Thursday, Feb. 16, and charged with leaving the scene of a motor vehicle crash that resulted in death, said Lt. Man Slashes Tires, Breaks Mirrors On 8 Vans While Drunk, Milford Police Say A Connecticut man was arrested for DUI and criminal mischief after allegedly slashing the tires and damaging eight vans while drunk. Woman Busted Bringing Drugs To Hudson Valley Jail, State Police Say A 35-year-old woman was allegedly busted bringing drugs into a Hudson Valley correctional facility. Child Kidnapping By Non-Custodial Father Lands Hudson Valley Dad In Jail, Police Say The non-custodial father of a 4-year-old Hudson Valley boy is behind bars after allegedly kidnapping the child at knifepoint.
