Popular Family-Owned Supermarket Chain To Close Location In Hudson Valley A popular family-owned grocery store in the Hudson Valley has announced the closing of one of its five locations. DeCicco’s Family Markets' Orange County store in the town of Cornwall says that after making a "difficult decision" it will be forced to close the market on Saturday, March 4. "There were too many contributing factors that led to this decision to list here, however, please know we did so only after much time, effort, and consideration," the DeCicco family said on Facebook. Trio Nabbed Smuggling Drugs Into Hudson Valley Prison On Same Day, Police Say Three different women who didn't know each other were allegedly nabbed smuggling drugs into a Hudson Valley prison on the same day. The incident took place in Orange County on Sunday, Feb. 19 at the Otisville Correctional Facility, said Trooper Steven Nevel. At 10 a.m., 12 p.m., and 12:15 p.m., State Police from the Greenville barracks were contacted by the facility of three different women attempting to bring narcotics into the facility. Rape Suspects: 2 Men Apprehended After Separate Investigations In Hudson Valley Two area men have been arrested for alleged rape in two separate incidents. Both men were arrested Thursday, Feb. 16 in Ulster County by the New Paltz Police and charged with first-degree rape. The first incident took place on Saturday, June 18, 2022, when the department received a report of a sexual assault in the village, said the New Paltz Police. Suspicious Incident: Suffolk County Man Finds Intruder With Dog, Gun On Back Porch Police are investigating after a Long Island man reported finding an intruder with a dog and a gun on his back porch in the early morning hours. Man Struck By Mercedes SUV Crossing Wantagh Roadway Critical A 55-year-old man struck by a Mercedes-Benz SUV crossing a Long Island roadway is in critical condition. The incident took place in Wantagh around 6:40 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 21. According to Nassau County Police, the man was walking on Jerusalem Avenue from the south side to the north side of the roadway when he was struck by the SUV traveling eastbound in the vicinity of Hawthorne Drive West. Hidden Camera: Naugatuck Man Nabbed Spying On Child, Police Say A 35-year-old Connecticut man has been charged with alleged voyeurism with malice after a hidden video camera was discovered in a child's bedroom. The incident took place in New Haven County in Naugatuck on Saturday, Feb. 18 when the officers responded to a home for a possible voyeurism complaint. Man Shot At Norwalk Home In Critical Condition, Police Say A man is in critical condition after being shot at a Norwalk home. The incident took place around 6:15 p.m., Monday, Feb. 20 at a residence on Dry Hill Road, said Sgt. Sofia Gulino, of the Norwalk Police. Multiple Norwalk officers rushed to the scene, along with paramedics and fire personnel after receiving a 911 call of a person shot, Gulino said. Road Rage: Man Apprehended After Firing Shotgun During Hudson Valley Incident, Police Say A Hudson Valley man was charged with allegedly firing a shot and threatening a person with a shotgun following a road rage incident. The incident took place in Orange County around 7:30 p.m., on Monday, Feb. 20 in the town of Montgomery.
