Man, Teen Charged In Death Of Man Found Lying On Roadside In Hudson Valley
A 38-year-old area man and a 17-year-old have been charged with alleged manslaughter in connection with the death of another man who was found dead lying on the side of a roadway.
Ulster County resident Joseph Karolys, of the town of Saugerties, and the teen, were arrested on Wednesday, Feb. 22 for the Saturday, Oct. 29, 2022 death of David "Mickey" Myer, age 66, also of Saugerties.

Waterbury Drug Dealer Gets Prison For Trafficking Large Amounts Of Heroin, Cocaine
A Connecticut drug dealer has been sentenced to prison for supplying heroin to a member of a Waterbury-area drug trafficking ring.
Former New Haven County resident Jesus Nieves, aka "Pop," age 38, formerly of Waterbury, and Springfield, Massachusetts, was sentenced Thursday, Feb. 23 to 63 months in prison, said Vanessa Roberts Avery, US Attorney for the District of Connecticut.

Greenwich Saks Fifth Avenue $20K Grab-Run Theft: Woman At Rikers Island Charged
A woman who allegedly stole more than $20,000 in merchandise from a Saks Fifth Avenue in Fairfield County in 2020 as part of a retail theft ring is behind bars.
The grab-and-run theft took place in Greenwich on Monday, Dec. 7, 2020, at the Saks Fifth Avenue at 205 Greenwich Ave.
The theft included five suspects including Jessica Lane, age 34, of Newark, New Jersey, who was arrested on Wednesday, Feb. 22, at Rikers Island in New York, by Greenwich Police on an extraditable warrant, said Lt. Patrick Smyth, of the Greenwich Police.

Woman Abducted By Ex-Boyfriend, Takes Cops On Pursuit, Bridgeport Police Say
A man is under police guard at a hospital after he allegedly carjacked and abducted a former girlfriend in Fairfield County.
The incident took around 1;10 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 23 on the property of A.M.R. American Medical Response located at 335 Connecticut Ave., in Bridgeport, said Capt. Kevin Gilleran of the Bridgeport Police.
Gilleran said the victim, a 22-year-old Bridgeport woman, and the suspect, New Haven County resident Bradley Doyle, age 22, of Milford, are both A.M.R. employees and were previously involved in a short dating type relationship earlier this year.
