Man Found Dead Floating In Water On Long Island, Police Say Police are investigating after a man was found dead floating in the water on Long Island. The incident occurred in Nassau County in the area of the Safe Harbor Marina in Glen Cove around 8:30 a.m., Monday, Feb. 27. According to Nassau County Police detectives, a 911 call was received for a person floating in the water in the Safe Harbor Marina located at 128 Shore Road. Glen Cove Police, the Nassau County Marine Bureau, Nassau County Emergency Service Unit and the Glen Cove Fire Department all responded to the area. School Bus Crash Sends 8 Kids To Hospitals In Hudson Valley Eight middle school students were sent to the hospital with minor injuries after a crash between a school bus and an SUV in the Hudson Valley. CT FedEx Driver Assaulted Delivering Package, Police Say Police in Connecticut are seeking the public's help in identifying a man who allegedly attacked a FedEx driver as he was delivering a package. The incident took place in Hartford County around a5 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 23 on Lydall Street in Manchester. 18-Vehicle Pileup: Black Ice Causes Crash In Hudson Valley, Police Say Black ice conditions led to an 18-vehicle pile-up on Route 9W in the Hudson Valley that caused four minor injuries. Man Assaults, Injures Officer On Long Island, Police Say A Long Island man was charged with assault after allegedly injuring a police officer while resisting arrest. The incident took place in Nassau County around 12:15 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 26. Westchester Man Killed In Rollover Crash On Parkway In Hudson Valley A Westchester County resident was killed in a single-vehicle rollover crash on the Palisades Interstate Parkway. The crash took place in Rockland County around 6:50 p.m., Friday, Feb. 24 on the parkway near Exit 16 southbound in Stony Point. Hit-Run Crash: State Police Cruiser Struck On I-684 In Bedford A New York State Police vehicle was damaged by a hit-and-run driver while the trooper was stopped on I-684 helping another motorist in Northern Westchester. The incident took place in Bedford around 6 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 26. Trooper AJ Hicks said the crash occurred while the trooper was stopped in the southbound lane of I-684 assisting another driver when a gold Lexus SUV struck the passenger side of the police cruiser. Road Closure: Busy Hudson Valley Roadway Shut Down Due To Crash A busy Hudson Valley roadway is closed due to a crash that brought down a utility pole. The crash took place in Rockland County early Monday morning, Feb. 27 when a vehicle struck a utility pole on Route 202 in Ramapo. Ramapo Police said the roadway is closed from Route 306 to Camphill Road. Orange and Rockland Utility are on the scene, Route 202 is expected to be closed for an extended period of time, police said. Fatal Crash: Man Walking On I-91 Hit By 3 Vehicles, CT State Police Say A man walking in the travel lanes of a busy Connecticut highway was hit and killed after being run over by three vehicles. The crash took place on I-91 southbound just north of Exit 3 in New Haven around 9:50 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 26.
