She spent 17 years at Florida Today in Melbourne, Florida as a general assignment reporter, crime reporter, entertainment reporter and restaurant critic. She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. She attended Eastern Florida State College in Melbourne, Florida.

3 Men Critical After CT Convenience Store Shooting, Police Say Three men are in critical condition after a shooting at a Connecticut convenience store. The incident took place in New Haven County around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29 in Waterbury. The men were discovered after officers responded to Otto’s Convenience Store and Smoke Shop, located at 496 West Main St., for a report of shots fired, said Lt. Ryan Bessette, of the Waterbury Police. Once on the scene, officers found the three men ages 43, 42, and 26, and a crime scene at the smoke shop, Bessette said. Driver From Norwalk Charged After Driving 110 MPH In Fairfield County, Police Say A 22-year-old man was arrested after being stopped for allegedly driving 110 mph in a 55 mph zone on a stretch of I-95 in Fairfield County. Victor Espinoza, of Norwalk, was stopped around 12:25 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 29, after Connecticut State Troopers clocked him at 110 mph in his 2015 Chevrolet Camero in Fairfield, state police said. Espinoza was charged with reckless driving and failure to carry a driver's license. He was released on a $500 non-surety bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on Monday, Dec. 19 in Bridgeport.

Woman Killed In Head-On Crash Between Compact SUV, Dump Truck In Region An area woman was killed during a crash with a dump truck in the region. The crash took place in Sullivan County around 9 a.m., on Monday, Nov. 28 on Route 17B in White Lake. Sullivan County Sheriff's deputies responding to the crash found a 2020 Toyota RAV 4 driven by Dutchess County resident Angela Theodoseau, age 30, of Wappingers Falls, had crossed the double yellow line into the path of a westbound Mack dump truck, said Sullivan County Undersheriff Eric Chaboty. Town Of Fairfield Police Issue Alert For Circulating Bitcoin Scam Police in Fairfield County are warning residents against the latest scam, this one involving Bitcoin. Fairfield Police Chief Robert Kalamaras said they learned of the latest scam when a resident alerted the department on Tuesday, Nov. 22 that they had sent $7,000 in Bitcoin currency to an unknown account prior to realizing it was a scam. The resident told officers she had received a call from an unknown male claiming to work for the fraud department of an online retailer. Woman Found Dead In Wooded Area Off Hudson Valley Roadway Detectives are investigating after a woman's body was found in a wooded area off of a Hudson Valley highway. The incident took place in Ulster County on Tuesday, Nov. 29, off Route 28 in the town of Olive. Deputies responded to the area after a passerby reported seeing a person lying in a wooded area off of Route 28, said the Ulster County Sheriff's Office. Fire Breaks Out At Multi-Family Home In Norwalk Nine people were left homeless following a fire that destroyed a multi-family residence in Fairfield County. The fire took place in Norwalk around 10:10 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 29 at 43 Lexington Ave. The fire started in the bedroom of the home and quickly spread to floors above, said Norwalk Fire Department Deputy Chief Steve Shay. There were nine occupants at home at the time of the fire and all escaped without injury, Shay said. "However, all of their belongings were destroyed," Shay said. Man Found Dead In Great South Bay Investigators are asking for information after a man was found dead in the Great South Bay. The unidentified man was found in the waters off of Grass Island around 2:40 pm., Tuesday, Nov. 29. Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives say the man, who was found floating in a foot of water, had died of an apparent drowning death. 70-Year-Old Faces Assault Charge After Crash Injuring Officer In Elmont A Long Island man has been arrested after allegedly striking a police vehicle and then fleeing the scene. The incident took place in Elmont around 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 28. According to Nassau County officers, John Sferlazza, age 70, Elmont, was driving a 2004 Honda when he sideswipe the driver’s side of a Radio Motor Patrol vehicle causing damage and physical injury to the officer operating the vehicle. Person Injured After Cement Mixer Falls Through Parking Lot Deck In Danbury A cement truck driver was injured after his vehicle fell through a parking deck in Fairfield County. The incident took place in Danbury around 11:45 a.m., Monday, Nov. 28 on Crosby Street. The Danbury Fire Department responded to reports of a cement truck that had fallen through a parking deck.
